Rebecca McCormack, O.D., is a devoted optometrist who delivers the very best in eye care for patients of all ages. She provides lifelong eye care services, ranging from in-depth eye exams to management of ocular diseases, like glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.

Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Dr. McCormack and her husband settled in the Lowcountry in 2017 after a vacation sparked a true love with the region. When not treating her patients, Dr. McCormack likes to cook, crochet, play tennis, hike, and spend time outdoors with her husband and their border collie, Cooper!

Awards & Accolades

Dr. McCormack has demonstrated her passion for the eye care field even throughout her optometry education: she received a Presidential Scholarship for academic excellence, and completed a highly selective advanced study program in anterior segment disease.

Educational Background & Experience

For her undergraduate college education, Dr. McCormack attended the University of Mary Washington in Virginia, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Inspired to pursue eye care, she began studying at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Optometric Honor Society. After earning her Doctor of Optometry and graduating with honors, Dr. McCormack gained diverse experience at a private practice in her home state.

  This is the first eye doctor I have visited that I feel properly assessed my eyes and educated me! I have gotten glasses before, none of which I could see out of due to undiagnosed extreme amblyopia and astigmatism. The glasses prescribed to me helped me see clearly for the first time in my adult life. 10/10 would recommend, not to mention the excellent staff!

  We were here and ours  first experienced  was wonderful , the  assistant  we saw  before that  Doctor she was very kind and friendly, my ingles  is my  second
