Originally from Waycross, Georgia, Dr. Wheeler has strong family ties to the Lowcountry, having spent much of her childhood in Beaufort, SC. When not taking care of her patients, Dr. Wheeler enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, reading, and taking long walks along the Battery and the beach.
Educational Background & Experience
Dr. Wheeler earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
