Sanjana Vitta, O.D., is a friendly optometrist who’s eager to serve her community through personalized eye care for her patients. Dr. Vitta provides top-tier services such as comprehensive eye exams, myopia management, vision prescription and eyewear evaluations, and overall primary eye care.

Hailing from Birmingham, AL, Dr. Vitta moved to Charleston with her fiancé in 2021 to follow their passions in healthcare. She is excited to explore all the Lowcountry region has to offer, and continue advocating for vital access to eye care for those in need!

Awards & Accolades

Dr. Vitta was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, reserved for those with sustained academic success of a GPA of 3.5 or higher. She was also inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, which is an invitation-only organization that requires top performance from its members.

Educational Background & Experience

For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Vitta earned her Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College. After she was inspired to pursue eye care, she got accepted to University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she was a distinguished, high-achieving student. There, she was a scholarship recipient and a valued member of notable service organizations and academic groups.

During this education, Dr. Vitta gained a wealth of knowledge and a newfound passion for eye care advocacy, which she continues to this day through her work with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity International®. Adding to her qualifications, Dr. Vitta is certified in fitting MiSight® One Day specialty contact lenses to manage myopia in young patients.

  This is the first eye doctor I have visited that I feel properly assessed my eyes and educated me! I have gotten glasses before, none of which I could see out of due to undiagnosed extreme amblyopia and astigmatism. The glasses prescribed to me helped me see clearly for the first time in my adult life. 10/10 would recommend, not to mention the excellent staff!

  We were here and ours  first experienced  was wonderful , the  assistant  we saw  before that  Doctor she was very kind and friendly, my ingles  is my  second
